I have a question, does it have a closed coolant system like regular vehicles or does the engine cool itself with the sea water? If it's closed, I'm thinking that maybe you have a pocket of air in your system and is causing a hot spot. It could also be contamination of the cooling system that might of caused a hot spot in the heads.
