Default Heater/AC Fan Controls Inop

I have a 2001 Suburban with a/c. The fan control stopped working for the#1setting about 3 months ago which was tolerable. The #2 setting stopped working two days ago. Has anyone had this problem and is it much of an undertaking to repair? I would think it has to do with the contacts in the switch itself.

Thanks,
Will

Pull out the dash panel and check the swicth with a DMM. If you don't have power on the contacts, it means you have a bad switch or variable speed control. I'll look for a TSB on that one to find out if there is an easier way to change the control.

From my experience problems with the climate control fan speed **** almost always point to a fualty blower motor resister block. Usually located on the heater box under the dash on the passenger side.
