Default Overhead rear heater/AC controls-backlighting

I recently purchased a 2006 Tahoe LT 4x4. The overhead controls for the rear climate control work fine, but there is no backlight illumination at night. Also, the lights on the lighted vanity mirrors don't work. I've checked the fuse block at the left end of the dash and under the hood. Any other fuse blocks that I should be aware of? Any ideas to get the backlighting to work again?

Maybe related, maybe not, of the 8 buttons on the steering wheel for the stereo & DIC, only the bottom right ("return" button) illuminates at night.

Help!

Default bulbs

sadly bulbs burn out they should use LEDs... but that would cost too much...

ask if someone has the FSM and it might be in there...

Thanks. that may be the problem. So how do I get to them? There is a single screw at the front of that housing, but even with it out, the housing still seems pretty solid. I don't want to break anything (my wife would kill; it's her truck!)

Although that doesn't explain the vanity mirror lights, as those bulbs are not burned out.
