Default help

I'm having 2 problems with my 99 Blazer,

1. When I step on the gas, when it takes off; I feel & hear this scratching noise from the bottom of the car towards the front of the car? Anyone know what can it be?

2. My left wheel, if I turn my steering wheel like to back up out of a parking spot, I hear this poping noise like if it dislocates, but then it runs fine with no wiggle on the tires. Can this be related to problem # 1 ?

Your description on the noise from #1 needs more detail. This could be brakes to a belt to even a small heatsheid or torque inspection cover.

#2, is your steering wheel at stops? as in all the way to the right or left when this happens? One common issue was the steering stops are metal to metal. Add that one is on the spindle and the other is on the lower arm, as you hit the gas the suspension moves causeing the jammed steering stops to give a loud POP. Climb under the front, find the steering stops on each side and dab grease on the stops. OR, your ball joints could be dry as a bone. I dont care how much you pay for an oil and "LUBE" customers are always shyed the lube.
