86 chevy tranny problem?

i have an 86 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup and it "slams" into reverse. any suggestions?

If it's a turbo 400 get the transgo no bang reverse sub kit and install it. I think every turbo 400 bangs into reverse after some aging sets in.

your u-joints on your driveshaft are starting to wear. if it is your joints, replace them asap.
