Default How can I loosen up a stiff gas pedal?

I've got a 95 Suburban with the 350 TBI engine and the throttle return spring is really stiff, like it was made for someone with Arnold Schwarzenegger's ankle. Is there any way to adjust it any, or any other way to loosen it up? After driving my buick it seems like I'm using a stairmaster when I drive the "Covered Wagon". It's especially annoying in parking lots where it's hard to give it just a little bit of gas without lurching forward.
