Default L96 Question (TIA!)

Hi all. New to the L96. Mine is in a 2019 Express 2500 conversion van I bought about a year ago. I am looking into getting it tuned to improve the shift points mainly. Its a big conversion and the transmission doesnt like it much unless I'm in Tow/Haul, and thats not quite right either. I bought a very comprehensive warranty and the transmission was replaced recently. Shifting is definitely better. A tune was suggested and there is a really good tuner not far from here. My QUESTION lol, is this:

If I get the tune, and take it in to get anything replaced under my warranty, what are the odds they will know it's been tuned? I dont want to void my warranty...

Thank you all in advance!

Very much depends on what you mean by “tune”… do you mean a flash tune? Do you mean an obs plugin “tuner”, do you mean a solid state tune where the tuner enters the ECM or TCM and writes a file?

A dealership is able to see if anything within computer/ microcontroller software has been tampered with, independent shops less likely.
