I'm new. I'm working on a chevette. Hoping to swap in a bigger motor and hard to find any forums just for chevette guess b/c they are junk haha. I'm trying to figure out what tranny they have? It's an auto by the way. Also, what motors will bolt right up to them?

I'm looking at swapping in a v6 or a v8. After thinking it over I thought the jeep 4.0 would be a good choice since its inline and has decent power. Any opinions? Might be a challenge to find a jeep with a 2 wheel drive tranny though. I've seen a couple my entire life.
