Default Motorhome

I have a 1995 32' motorhome with a 454 with a throttlebody, and 58,000 miles. It dose great by its self. But I always have the jeep behind it. The trouble is the transmission and engine works very hard on hills, I do have a temp gauge on the trans. It gets close to 300 deg. I think its all caused by the Throttlebody, not enough power. My Question is, I want to put a port fuel injected manifold and all the goodies on it. I am wondering if the heads and the lower end of the engine would work with the port fuel injection? Or do I have to do some differant configeration on the inturnal parts or the heads. Thanks funnnyfarm
