Default Tail Light Wiring for Motorhome Towing

I am planning on towing my 4wd Tahoe using the factory tail lights as my "trailer" lights, also. I normally use some heavy diodes and run new wire to the back of the vehicle and splice in right in front of the bulbs, but I have to believe thatI should be able to splice in further to the front of the vehicle. Any help with a wiring diagram or wire colors/location would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

for liabilty reasons we always do this at the rear as well. You never know where the wires branch off too.It is safer to run it at the rear but you could do this in the front. You should be able to pull thesignals and stufffrom under the hood at the fuse panel on the driver side fender, but I'm still a fan running it to the rear....its just plane safer ......
