I just bought my first Chevy truck. A 2003 silverado 2500hd 4x4 ext. cab 6.0 v8. It has the 4.10 gears with the 4spd transmission. Is this a common set up? I plan on traveling in the truck. I seem to be running around 2500rpm at 80mph.. Seems high compared to what I'm used to. Any thoughts?

 

That is what you get with a 4.10 rear end.

 

Yeah I second that gears are the killers especially the 4x4 models usually are geared for more low end as well
