Exclamation Need help desprateley.......

I have a 99 chevy blazer two wheel drive with the 4.3 vtec and is a four door.. The problem is that it dies as I'm drivin but before the battery light comes on.. This happens to me whenevers could be two days in a row or once a month it happens unexpectanly.ive gotten my battery tested alternator and both are in great working order. I was told it could be the computer but dont wanna spend the money on it if thats not the problem. Ive also replaces all battery cables to make sure and still happens. The only way to get it started and able to drive it is to let it sit till the battery drains completely and then jump it and itll be good. If anyone could give me any pointers it would be much aprecciated. Thankx.

sounds like you have a control module issue. would be nice to know the milage. but need more info and be specific when you say it dies. does it crank. click ?? im assuming vortec motor rite? sorry see that you did say was vortec, these motors are almost bullet proof and run really well, depending on milage....so first tell me the specifics on after it dies then lets go from there

I dont have a chip on it just stock... I was told it could be the ecm but not sure... And it had 175xxx miles on it.... I had the dealership check it out and they said it was my alternator but then I get it tested and test fine. And the was it dies is like my bari dies... When I jump it starts fine and everything but holds no charge....

How's the engine to firewall ground strap?

You'll have trouble getting dependable charging without it. Also your charging wire from your alternator.

The engine to firewall ground strap is usually in a hard to reach spot, just add a #4 negative cable with 2 standard bolt ends at the engine block or head, and any nut or bolt on your firewall.
