Unhappy New GM Radiator issue

Hello all. I recently purchased a new GM radiator for my truck. Everything looks like my original (25 yrs old now). I went to install it and it appears they put a plug in where the petcock goes. It stated when I ordered it that the petcock was not included so I ordered that as well. Problem is, I can't get the plug out. I tried needle nose pliers and even an easy out to see if it would even start to turn, which it didn't. I am enclosing a picture of both. NEED HELP on getting this out. The radiator sure seems like it is supposed to have this drain operational.

As you can see, this radiator should have a petcock. I ran water thru the radiator to flush anything out and to see if water would drain out this port.

Personally, if it is a drain ****, and not leaking, I would pull the bottom radiator hose when it need's drained.

I would agree, but what if it is just a shipping plug? The fear of it popping out during driving, especially while towing a travel trailer away from home is what I am most concerned with. Even if I carried the petcock with me, it is in a really bad spot to access. Plus it has a 32 qt cooling system. That's a lot of water/anti-freeze to have to carry around for a "just in case" scenario.
