cant find radiator cap. Not coolant reservoir cap. Anybody know where it is? And how to get to it?

there is no cap on the radiator. the system uses a pressurized reservoir/surge tank. the cap that seals the system is on the coolant reservoir tank.

 

drove 30 miles and back on highway. Sat in car when I got home. Heard a pop. Steam from hood. Coolant leaking everywhere. T fitting broke and tapered end was stuck in all three hoses. Removed plastic from hoses and replaced t fitting. Added coolant to reservoir/surge tank and turned engine on. Engine started to go up towards the red but turned it off before it got there two or three times. No coolant leaves tank even when it gets hot. Any ideas? Water pump? Thermostat

 

i would replace the thermostat anytime the cooling system overheated and you have the system open. If you can't confirm coolant movement, replace the wp.

 

could a leak in one of the hoses cause the coolant to not circulate from the reservoir tank?

 

Does it needs bleeding?
