Rampant rust under brand new 3500
Rust, rust, and more rust.
Driver side tie rods and other rusty components.
Frame components and I believe one of the outputs from the front differential.
Rear u-joint and differential housing. There's rust up on top of the differential as well.
This is under my 17-year-old Avalanche for comparison..
I just purchased a brand new Silverado 3500 long bed single rear wheel. I posted on here separately about a windshield leak 3 days after I've had the truck home. There's a long story about that one that I'll save for an update on the other thread. But odd things have caused me to look deeper into this truck. And so I went underneath it and started looking around and there is rust everywhere. It's on the tie rods, and the cross members, the rear u-joint, the top of the differential, parts of the frame, it's all over the place. If you were to look only underneath this truck you would never believe this was a brand new truck. I compare it to my 17-year-old avalanche and there is not a shred of rust or corrosion on that vehicle. I'm very concerned and not quite sure where to take this. I've become less and less trusting of GM's ability to give a **** once they have your money. I will attach maybe four of the 20 plus photos I've taken underneath this truck. I look forward to some opinion although not a single person responded to my last post. Thanks in advance.
