I have a 1997 z71 tranny went out im thinking of pulling the motor and rebuilding it to put in a 1972 c10 its a 350 vortec runs well but im not sure if its worth messing with can I pull off the computer and just run a carb or some other kind of fuel injection im trying to keep it simple and as far as transmission what will match up good with it I want a automatic I don't know a whole lot about the motor if its a 2 or 4 bolt does anybody know much about it 350 vortec automatic 4x4 one more thing I want to bore and stroke it is this motor going to work out or should I can the project and find a different motor
