selt belt auto stop not working
Hi
my 1986 Chev Van T30 (school bus with a van front ) 350 cu I 103,000 original miles
is having seat belt issues.
when I'm belted in and pull quickly on the belt it doesn't stop coming out, meaning likely injury in the case of an accident.
on inspection it looks like the little lead weight and components are in good condition (I've not drilled out the rivet to look under the cover)
if I push the lead weight 1/4" toward the rear of the vehicle it works. adjusting the position of the unit is not possible unless I redrill.
what's another way to fix this problem
cheers
eric
ps I tried to post pics but lost the post, will try to add.
