Default Stabilitrak vs AWD

I'm about to buy an Uplander, but I can't decide between All Wheel Drive (AWD) and Stabilitrak (you can't get both). My location gets a fair amount of rain, and some snow, so either would be useful. Can anyone point me to any reviews that specifically compare the differences between these?

Default RE: Stabilitrak vs AWD

I had rented a vehicle this past weekend for an out of town trip that had a " Stability Control " system. The conditions were that of light to moderate to heavier snow covered roads.

On the dry roads with slight dampness the stability control was alright but on the snow covered roads traction was poor. To be fair the vehicle had only touring type of all season tires which in themselves aren't ideal for traction in those conditions any way.

In this case the AWD would have been the preferred drive system.
