Default stuck in neutral?

ok so I have an 05 Silverado half ton, non hd 4x4 with the 5.3 automatic. and lately we have been having some really cold weather down to zero and up to ten lol, on one day on my way home ( truck is warm already drove about 45 miles ) I am in 4wd drive on a snow covered road the truck stops moving, the engine is still running but no power to the ground, I push the button to go to 2wd and same thing no power to the ground. I though maybe the shifter cyloniod was possibly freezing and acting up but we are now into the mid to high 40's and still no power to the ground, I have no clue? oh and the tranny and transfer case both are good for oil. any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. thank

does the t-case range switch have a neutral position. do you think the t-case is in neutral? if this the case the truck will roll even with the trans in the park position.
