oh and to answere your question yes one of those craftsman advance timing lights...i never used one always used the convental no gadget light..

The mark on the harmonic balancer may have slid, but also consider

that mark is for stock engines, normal driving, and standard tune-ups

and specs.

Maybe you want to try setting the timing by ear.

Loosen the distributor lockdown ring.

With the engine running,(wear heavy boots and socks) grasp

the distributor with a thick, heavy, dry rag. Slowly rotate the

dist till you hear the tnk,tnk,tnk of post ignition, then slowly back it

off a couple degrees. Then lock it down, and test run her.

Won't cost ya nuthin'...
