Default Water pump pulley sizes

Hello everyone, looking for input concerning a two groove water pump pulley for BBC. Important: The diameter of inner groove is smaller than the diameter of the outer groove. The goal is to use the smaller diameter groove to slightly overdrive the water pump. Looks like the inner groove of the WP pulley aligns with inner groove of the crank pulley and the power steering pulley. And the outer groove of the WP pulley aligns with the second groove in the crank pulley and the alternator pulley. My take (and I'm not saying that I am correct) is that the smaller diameter groove must use a belt which runs with the crank, and in my case will also run with the power steering pulley. This leaves the outer larger diameter groove of the WP pulley to run with the alternator only, not the crank. I am grateful for any comments. Thank you!
