Default What is this?

Below is a picture of something on the automatic transmission of my 2000 Chevy S10 (2.2 liter four-cylinder motor). Anyone know what it is? It appears to be leaking. Looks to be on the bell-housing, between the engine and the transmission oil pan. (I noticed it when I was replacing the transmission pan and gasket).

Inspection cover, if it's motor oil you probably have a leaking rear main.
