As a "back yard" mechanic my understanding is the airbag system is one of the more potentially dangerous systems to work on unless you are properly trained. Bags can be set off causing serious injury & you may spend alot more in the long run vs getting fixed by a pro. No personal experience here, just what I have read and what mechanic friends have told me.
