While driving, I get the noise that sounds like a gas powered airplane. When I raise the front wheels off the ground, go about 40 mph and I hear nothing.
I have the tires balanced and rotated after the noise started, changed the l/h drive axle(leaking) and the r/h wheel hub. I even took off each tire and replaced it with the spare and the noise level never changes.Don't think it's thetransmission because the noise is steady.

 

try jacking up the rear end and spinning the wheels....may be a bad bearing in the rear
