I have a 2000 impala and it will not start you can crank it and hold the gas pedal to the floor and it will start and rave way up but then it will die. just trying to start it without gas it only turns over. I took it to the shop and the mechanic said it was the fuel pump I replaced it and it still does not work. I have replace the map sensor. I do not know what else to do.

when the shop ran the code tested nothing came up. the mechanic just push the thing with the knife and said the fuel pump was bad and to replace it. so we did and it has not changed anything still wont start
