On my 2000 Impala the seatbelt light on the right hand side of the speedometer stays on all the time. It doesn't matter if the passenger seatbelt is latched or not. I wanted to know if anyone can tell me what causes this and isn't there a plug under the passenger seat to unplug to get it to go off? Any help would be appreciated....Thanks!

 

Check the connector on the end of the seat belt switch.

Shouldn't that be under the seat where the seatbelt latch is bolted down? I looked and didn't see one. I found one under the drivers seat though. Anymore help is appreciated.
