Default 2003 Chevy Impala Passlock Problems...please help!!!

My daughter owns a 2003 Chevy Impala. It seems to breakdown almost daily. Last month it was the starter. I had it towed to a shop and they replaced it. It drove fine for about 2 weeks. Now the Passlock is acting up. I gave her detailed instructions on changing the ignition switch. She got it changed out, then relearned the new switch by turning the key just a bit past "on" and let it spring back. She waited 30 minutes and repeated the process two more times. The car started just fine. She went to work today, went to her car at lunch and it wouldn't start. She did the process of relearning the switch again and it started just fine. Now she went to start it on her last break and it won't start again. I am so angry at this POS car I'm ready to explode. The problem is that I live in Indiana and she lives in Oregon, so I can't help her at all. Does anyone have a suggestion? I've poured over forums, videos, and anything else I could find and nothing works.

I would really appreciate it if someone were to guide me (and then her) through a process that will fix this thing. Thank you.

No, it didn't. She kept doing that same 30 minute cycle and it finally worked. She hasn't had any problems since. Thank you for replying!
