Default 2003 Front Caliper bolts

I replaced the pads on my '03 and according to my Haynes manual, the upper bolts should be the ones with a bushing on them.
When I pulled them out the left side had the bushing on top while the right side was on the bottom. I don't believe they had been off before.
Any insight on this for me. Assembled wrong, or error in the manual?
Parts diagrams online didn't help me.
Thanks.

are these the bolts that hold the caliper assembly to the steering knuckle or the bolts that hold the calipers to the caliper frame, that the calipers slide on. If it is the later of the two. I don't remeber spacers, what I do remember is that one of the bolts was round and one hat a flat side along it. you might want to drop by the local chevy dealer , they may have an exploded view, who knows maybe you need one on each bolt.

The later, the rubber bushing is molded into the tip of the bolt. I believe through some searching that they do go on top. I hope my Chev dealer is willing to help, as I would like to verify what I have found.

On my '07 Impala the bolt with the bushing goes on top. Chris
