2006 Impala won't come out of park
My 2006 Impala will not come out of park. It has the center console. The button on the shifter will not depress. The brake lights work so I know the brake switch is OK.

Pull the ceneter console apart to acces the wiring for the lock actuator. There should be a 6 pin connector with 5 wires in it. Pin A will be a BLACK wire. Test that for ground. Pin B, will be DK GRN\WHT. Test that for voltage with the car started and brake depressed. If power and ground are good, replace the actuator
