2006 LS new battery cables doesn't tighten -solved
Had to replace both battery cables as the positive had had been shortened too many times thanks to aftermarket terminal clamps, and the original negative clamp was broken and had been tightened too hard, but the cable still spun freely on the terminal.
Got the new cables from the dealership. The new negative cable clamp still doesn't bolt down all the way and feels like im about to break it...again...any special trick to these clamps I'm not noticing?

Reason: added solved
Is the terminal on the battery worn down in any way? You could use some copper/brass shim material wrapped around the battery terminal to make a tighter fit.

The battery is only a year old so not sire if the post was worn down or not but I had to bend the clamp with some pliers then hammered it on with a rubber mallet the bolt finally tightened correctly too lol
