Default 2007 Impala Police

I am trying to figure out a few things.

My driver lock button does not work for unlock function. I have a donor car to replace it, but how does one go about this?

How do I tell if my speedo, gas guage, and other guages are accurate? I heard someone may have tried repairing the LEDs on it...since my speedo is certified, I am curious...as the digital number matches the needle, is that safe to say its ok?

Don't really know what to tell u about speedometer n all other than takin it to the shop. But as far as the lock switch goes, gently pry up the plastic piece that surrounds the switches in your door panel. BE SURE TO PRY UP FROM THE BACK of this piece so you don't screw up the clip. Then disconnect all the wiring harnesses and EVER SO GENTLY pry the switch out from underneath. The plastic clips that hold the switch in place are very small and very fragile. Do the same with your donor car. Once you've got the new switch ready, connect ALL wiring harnesses and test your new switch. Assuming the donor switch is good and your lock now works, put your plastic panel containing your switches back in place, front end first. Then you're done!!!! Good luck!
