2010 Impala almost killed me
I have a 2010 chevy impala that has been worked on for 3 or 4 years with the service stabilitrak, service traction control. Then one day the car stopped in traffic, starting disabled and throttle problem illuminated. I was petrified that I would be hit by a car but managed to get pushed off the road. I spoke to GM after that and was told about 2 special service bulletins and that if I took the car to a dealer they would see what they could help me with. After paying nearly $800 to the chevy dealer, GM backed out of any negotiations and offers to help except a $100 gift card to use for the next repair. I explained we lived on a fixed income of $1600 a month and that repair was really hurting us but the compassionate agent asked me if I wanted to buy a new car!! Can we all say "out of touch"? Ughh so disappointed and angry and not ready to give up. Someone is going to be killed in these cars that GM knows has faulty parts! I wish someone in a position of authority would contact me.
