From what I've been led to understand, the 2012 v6's come limited to 112 mph simply because that's the most the tires they ship em with are rated to handle.... But if you have the cash sittin around for a better set of rubber n a re programming of the PCM, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to get up to at least 130......

Default Speed limited

I've seen 2012's speed limited to 112 mph and then I've seen ones that are speed limited to 140 mph. I can't figure it out, my 2013 is supposed to be speed limited to 112 mph, it is a fleet model but it came with H rates tires they are good for 130 mph, I guess I'll just have to find out one of these times what it tops out at. I know that many police department's don't allow high speed chase in thier cities due to public safety & liabilities.

The speed is limited to 112mph for the 3.6 litre engine. The speedometer that goes up to 140 is simply for show. To reply to mastiff59, you always want tires rated to exceed the speed of the vehicle for safety purposes. The speed rating is the speed the tire's manufacturer won't guarantee the tires won't come apart if you exceed it.
