2014 Impala LTZ Keyless Entry
Good Morning... I'm new to this forum. I just purchased my Impala 5 days ago and I love it, but I'm having an issue with the Proximity Entry on the drivers door operating intermittently. When I press the button on the handle of any other door on the car, it works fine and unlocks the door(s). But about 70% of the time the driver door will not operate. I have taken it to my dealer and they are researching the issue. They have no idea what's wrong. Has anyone else experienced this, or have any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

It's always worked flawlessly for me. If it works fine on the other 3 doors the problem may be in the switch that you depress on the handle. If I'm not mistaken I think the presence/proximity of the remote is detected by the same receiver that picks up the signals for the tire pressures in the the TPM system. So maybe you have a bad switch. I would take it to your favorite Chevrolet dealer and have them check it out.

Not sure what exactly you have done - but I would..
1 test only 1 FOB at a time. keep the other one far away.
2 test battery voltage before starting car (might be draining).
3 test battery voltage after arriving some where. (might be 'charged' up some and that's why it worked better at dealer?).
4 test in different locations - there might be some sort of interference at your place. test without cellphone on you or in the car.
Does your TRIP A reset or TRIP B reset if enabled?

Sorry, I wasn't totally clear at all.
Trip B has reset on people who use it when they come back the next day.
I'm concerned your battery is draining causing the issues. If trip a or b is resetting themselves then you might have a battery issue.

sledge.impy, Thanks for the ideas. My battery seems to be fine and not draining any noticeable amount, so I guess it's gonna be one of those things that just takes a while to figure out. I go back to the dealer, next week to have one of the DDL LEDs replaced, so hopefully they will have some ideas by then. If not I maybe contacting Chevrolet Customer Service to see if they can assist.
