When you first posted this thread and that link, I asked my wife to check the trunk for any water damage. I might have her check again since there was some snow and moisture recently. I'll probably check myself in 6 or so weeks, look down in the spare well and stuff.

Unfortunately I am in a garage so no chance of water. . Haven't driven in snow or rain in last 2 months.

So I heard back from her and she said she felt around under the liner and in the spare area and felt no water. I asked her to pull the liner up tomorrow and actually look, but I think it might be dry in there. It sucks that some people have leaks, but given how few of reports of it happening that there are out there on the 'nets, it doesn't seem to me like it is a widespread issue with the model.

Is this where the leak comes from?
Looks like a crack, no gasket.. not sure how deep it is.. or if water runs outside or inside, etc.
Mine is a USA build.
No water in trunk since I haven't been out in rain or snow.

I just brought my Impala in a couple days ago to have the LH tail light replaced. The original had water in the lens. When I got the car back, they replaced the lens as well as the tail light seal.
