Anything to know about replacing battery cables? 06 Impala Ls
So about a year ago i had my car in the shop after replacing my battery and alternator, first time i take it to a shop in my 15 years of driving, i either diy or drive it to the ground lol.
Well they say they replaced the battery cables and charged $350. It was working so i forgot about it...until a few days ago. I popped the terminal covers off and oh boy lol.
They just used the old negative terminal and cranked the hell out of it and broke it to make it stay on, now it just wiggles around not making a great connection.
The positive terminal must be from autozone or something and half the copper wire is jammed into the too-small hole.
I bought new wires from the stealership and am gonna try to tackle it today.
Someone told me that something like the dash lights or something else idk, might be spliced to the negative cable...
Is anything spliced to these cables?
Edit: the shop closed down (big surprise) 1 year ago
