Default bluetooth, iphone compatiblity in chevy impala 2010

I have been contemplating getting a smartphone. An Iphone or some type of Android, however while researching I have discovered that these phones may not be compatible with my car or may work but not with voice activation.

Does anyone have any experience with this problem?

Frodosmom208,

I am going to provide you with a website that will show you every compatible phone with your vehicles Bluetooth. The link is www.gm.com/bluetooth

When you get to the page you will need to click on the brand your vehicle is and it will take you to a new page. You will then click on the drop down box and select the vehicle you own and it will then populate a list showing you which phones are compatible. I hope this has helped you!

Thank you,

Elizabeth, Chevrolet Customer Service

I am aware of that website and its list, however I am looking for someone who has actually had a phone and tried to pair it with their car. In other words real life experience.
