iphone 5 and bluetooth
I upgraded to the iphone 5 a few months ago.
Every incoming call I answer from the steering wheel.
1. car 'rings'
2. press button
3. I can hear them for 1-2 seconds
4. Bluetooth drops connection 1-2 seconds
5. blue tooth reconnects (I haven't touched anything)
6. call works.
This interruption is not acceptable. I've now used 3 iphone 5s. All with the same issue with my truck.
I know the phone changed, not the truck, but GM has no update, and apple doesn't care.
So, since cars are no longer used in a 'sphere of isolation'.. what's the fix?
I've read other forums (acura I think?) where the 5 is having the same issue.
Yes, I blame the phone for breaking the functionality, however GM had to also know that people buy new phones yearly or biyearly... they do not buy new cars yearly...
Anyone else having this issue?

I have a 2009 suburban, I must say that bluetooth works fine with my iphone 5. I have the version (the truck) that only does bluetooth phone and not streaming audio. I dont know if yours is like that. I know in 2010 for sure they went to the combined system with audio and phone. Phone rings, I answer with the steering wheel and its good to go.
The only time I have an issue is if I accidentally answer via the phone screen which seems to default it to the phones internal mic/speaker, but its easy enough to transfer audio to the truck with the iphone screen.
Is your iphone up to date? Could be some bluetooth changes in newer updates, but I had my suburban longer than my iphone and I dont remember an issue like that. Sorry I cant help.
By the way I also had an iphone 4 which was fine too in my truck.
