Default Driver side mirror

Hi guys,
My 04 Chevy Impala driver side mirror is not tilting up and down. Is there any way I can remove the glass to fix (or replace) the tilting mechanism?
Thanks,
Optimus.

Not sure if it is the same as my 94 f-body.

But you should be able to pull it out with some force.

In my f-body, there are for a lack of a better term, these plastic pegs that screw in/out of the motor and bolt onto the mirror for your left/right and up/down.

Your's might be stripped or the motor might be stripped.

Or just watch a video on it which I found googling 2004 impala side view mirror replacement.

Looks like the whole mirror assembly is around $50 online.

Hi sledge,
Thanks for your prompt response. I was watching the same video just before I posted my message. It's not the whole mirror I want to replace, but removing the glass to replace the up/down motor or the up/down left/right mechanism. This video is about replacing the whole mirror assembly.
My regards.
