Angry fob trunk release impala 2014

The Impala 2014 key fob transmitter can send the signal thru concrete and for at least 50 feet. Accidental pushing the trunk release will leave the trunk open until you find everything in it is missing. Question? Why should the key fob have a trunk release button at all? You only want it open when you are present.
I have had over 8 incidents when I was notified that my trunk was open or I found it open. GM and Chevrolet need to fix this SECURITY problem NOW.

They all have had it for years on cars now.

If you would stop complaining and do a search, you will find that they can reprogram it to be a full second.

Not sure if that will help your issues out.

actually i wish there was an option to disable it . i leaned over to pick something up off the floor and the trunk poppped open apparently from the compression of the fob in my pocket. also happened while i was in someones house doing something but thankfully came out pretty quick to notice.

my jeep has a 'dented' or sunken switch for the buttons..i think that design is superior to buttons that are 'raised above the surface'

I ended up going online and ordering one of those silicone remote protectors. By sliding the remote inside of this protector, it basically gives the remote the "sunken" switch you speak of on your jeep. The incidence of opening the trunk or setting off the panic alarm has dropped to virtually zero.

should also note the 95 SS also had the same type of buttons. if they got it right in 1995 why raise the buttons all of a sudden?

was at a party yesterday and apparently while in their back yard, i must have pressed the button in my pocket. someone had gone out front and saw my car in the the middle of the cul de sac with open trunk.
