Default high mileage

276,000+ miles on 2003 impala 3.4 liter. Has had head up gasket change, both front wheel bearings, catalytic converter and is converted to 'green' anti-freeze. Miles are just about all highway driven and all belong to my wife and I since the car was bought new in June 2003.

My '03 3.8 is at 196k and my '08 SS is at 75k. Both great cars although the '03 is showing its age.

I know how you feel with this security issue. When I had my 2003 Impala I had the same problem. One evening me and my wife were picking up strawberries in a remote field and the car would not start at all. Not even a sign of life in the starter. After waiting 15 minutes it started. I was very nervous because there was nobody around to help us and my fear was that we were going to sleep in that field that night.

2003 impala 3.4 engine. Bought it with 120k miles in Feb 2012. Now has 165k miles. I only had to change the radiator. Check engine light is on now. During the winter now, I have to start it up and let it sit for about 15 mins before it pulls off. I don't know why it does that. Great Car though

Until last week, I was the original owner of a 2001 Impala LS with a 3.8L, 121,000 miles in Galaxy Silver. I had to let it go, but now am a happy owner of a 2014 Impala LTZ in Champagne Silver and has 400 miles. What a car!

As of the middle of last month, my 2014 2LTZ that I bought in September was sitting at 3100 miles. I can't imagine that there will be more than 500 more miles on it when I get my next onStar email in a couple days.

I'm about to put a couple thousand on it over the span of the next 9 or so weeks. I get home next Friday and will be driving around a bit, but then have a drive from SC to MO and back that I will make. And then when I leave the country again, it will go back to hardly no miles being put onto it, since my wife only has to drive a couple miles to work and back a day.

95 SS with 260K (who wants it? ) is being replaced by my new LTZ. after just over a week i have 1300 on the LTZ. my 87 caprice had 338K before rusting away a few years ago.

i expect to be back in this thread in a few years with at least 200 K on the new car.
