my Impala '08 suffers from Intermittent Starting.

fix attempts:

2 oil changes in 2 months; new spark plugs, and their wires;
new oil sensor;
New battery, new battery connecting things;
Dealership diagnosed the electric system for two hours & replaced some wires so it won't stall,
and with the hope it will start every time.

My Midas mechanic guesses something to do with something near where the key goes in, but after looking at my car for four hours, he didn't have time to check or fix this

Noises: started as an occasional, single quiet click which I seemed to hear eminating from the front passenger air vent.
Today I heard a sort of single crank noise from under the hood.

I read the related entries in this forum. As a non mechanical type, I couldn't figure out which of the suggestions i might bring to a mechanic.

I feel grateful for the helpful folks in this Chevy community and feel curious if anyone can guide my next step.

"Diagnose customer concern and found DTC P1682
Ignition 1 switch circuit 2. Tested for power on relay. Found relay sticking. Replace relay and verify repair.
Installed 13500114 : SL-N-Relay (02510-BOPCKT)

Since this work at dealership, delayed start has continued. The car hasn't stalled again, thankfully!
