NEWBIE FEMALE NEEDS HELP!tie rod: mevotech or other?
whats up everybody. new on here, trying to get my knowledge on
anyway, so i see as far as suspension goes moog i the better brand. does this ring true for tie rods? My 01 impala is a mess, dude that sold it to me burnt me and i've already spent 1300 on repairs in the last month, i got my alignment done today thinking this was the last of it and lo and behold this **** with the rod. if i go with the cheaper one am i baiscally getting low quality ish? im turning to forums bc i know yall men know your **** and im trying to learn as much from any1 who knows wasup. ima female, i know a lil here n there any help or insight on the car itself n this issue IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

tie rods on the impala dont last very long. At 60,ooo miles I had to replace mine on our 2003. Also the big doughnut bushing had to be replaced at around the same milleage. My replacement tie rods that were replaced at the gm dealer had grease fittings on them. With grease fittings they should last until the end life of your car.
well you cant go wrong with quality part's and i believe moog is the best if you can afford them ,and grease is a lot cheaper than new part's .ditto on grease fittings . i am a big fan on purge greasing joint's if they are not sealed .
