Default Our new Impala

We just bought a new 06 Impala LT3 with the 3.9 liter engine. For those of you that have this car what kind of mileage are you getting with it? Since we just got our car 2 nights ago we haven't been able to take it out for a good drive so I'm just curious if the mileage on the stick is accurate or not. Plus how do you like your Impala? We are loving ours so far.

I bought an LTZ 2 months ago. It has the same engine you have. After 3000 miles, I'm getting about 22.6 mpg. I do spend a lot of time in stop * go traffic. So, you may get better mileage than I get.

Very nice car! Hope you are still enjoying it. I rented an Impala LS 4 weeks ago and got excellent mileage, but it had the base 3500 (3.5L) engine. We got about 28 MPG in a mix of highway/city driving. I was impressed.

I loved the car, except the cruise was fussy. I am actually considering buying one. An LS of course, as a LT, LTZ and definitely an SS are out of my $ range- even a base LS will be pushing it. What I will miss is the compass/outside temp display (not on the LS) and the lack of remote starter. My aunt (by marriage) cousin owns a Chevrolet dealer, so he may help me be able to step up to an LT, at an LS price. Or I could always go used.

We have about 1600 miles on ours now and gas mileage ranges from about 22 to 28. Just filled up yesterday and got 22 and that was with stop and go and short distance driving. On the highway get about 26-28 so far hoping it goes up a few more miles per gallon. Love our car though.
