Default Remote quit

Have a 2007 Impala remote for doors and trunk quit working. Replaced battery and it would work only if I am sitting in the car even standing next to it outside the car it wil not work. Put in another battery thinking I got a bad one and same thing. ANy ideas? Car is no longer under warranty to many miles.

Same thing is happening with my 07SS... The remote does not work at all, but once you put the key in the door, the remote will work. Or, after you shut the car off, the remote lock will work. However after about 1 minutes of shutting the car off, the remote no longer works.

I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and now my remote works. I have had to do this twice. Give it a try and let me know if it works.
