Default Service Manual

Where can I purchase a service manual for my impala? I'm having a hard time finding a place that sells them.

Autozone, and Advance auto parts should both sell them. If you can buy a Haynes or a Chilton they are really detailed!

No, I'm talking about the Chevrolet Service Manual the dealerships use. Haynes or Chiltons don't even come close to whats in the Service Manuals. I have one for my Jeep but a mechanic gave me a phone number to call and order it. I had a Haynes before that and after receiving the Service Manual the Haynes went in the trash. It cost me $120 but it definetly paid for itself many times over. One of the plusses to the Service Manual is that it is talored to that specific year and not towards several years because things change, although maybe little things, but things none the less. Another thing is that the Haynes do not go into depth on anything. My Jeep SM is probably 6x thicker than the Haynes.

Ebay is your best bet. The dealer is going to charge you $200 or more

Now I'm going off of my experience with my Jeep SM so I was hoping that the Chevrolet ones would be the same way. I have checked on Ebay with no luck but I haven't gone down to the Dealership yet and asked. Thanks.

I just looked in the Owners Manual for the Impala for a phone # to call to order the Factory Service Manual and couldn't find it. Strange. With Jeep/Chrysler the ordering info for the FSM is in the back of the Owners Manual. Apparently not so with GM.

Check with the Dealer like you said. The FSM is worth it's weight in gold. If you find ordering info, please put it on the website.
