Spark plugs question
i am changing my spark plugs this weekend.. and when i open the hood i see the three ones in the front but in the back how do i get to those? i can barley fit my hand back there.. i think it would be highly unlikely to fit a rachet back there either. any help would be apreciated

RE: Spark plugs question
Unbolt the upper engine mounts (the mounts that anchor the top of the engine to the radiator support), get some help and pull the engine forward. Tie it off to the radiator support somehow so it'll stay put, then take the spark plugs out. Should take you just a few minutes.

RE: Spark plugs question
Can you jack-up the back (right side) of the engine (if you use a wood block of course)? after removing the left side support.

RE: Spark plugs question
Tilt the engine forward and take off the front STB if you have one. The 3400 engine is a bitch for a spark plug change. Looking at 2+ hours easy

RE: Spark plugs question
I did my 2000 Malibu V6, but those 3 in the back were hardest and took longer. Best to use a mechanic mirror and a good spark plug socket that grips the spark plug properly (not to light, not to hard). I think I used a 5 inch extension and maybe a swivel. I used platinum plugs so they can stay in there a while. I snapped a plug wire - it would be best to have one of those tools for it. I'm glad I did change the wires though, because they are not too expensive and I found some corrosion at the coil side connections
