Default traction control and abs

My 2009 Impala. Was traveling on a dirt road. I stopped at a stop sign then started forward onto a paved road, as I went forward traction control light came on car would only crawl along then, I could not go over 40 miles per hour. Was able to go to a place to pull over. Brakes or engine smelled "hot". After 30 minutes with engine shut off problem still existed. Stopped car and turned traction control on and off and moved car in reverse, problem went away. If this happened when I needed power to prevent getting in an accident It could result in injury or death. Chevrolet dealer could not find anything wrong. Computer analyzer had an unrecognizable code. After 3 hours and calls to GM, Gm told dealer to keep and drive my car for 4 days to see if problem returned. My car has less then 2000 miles on it.

I think thats why Chevy gives you the option to shut it off. When I got my Tahoe the dealer warned me about it, The auto steering correction can throw you off in certian situations. I dont know why your engine lost power and brakes smelled though.

Dealer said the Traction Control and ABS activated at the same time.
So it sounds like engine "slowed down" and brakes were applied.
Computer analyzer gave a code that GM and dealer did not understand.
I don't think they will be able to make my car repeat this problem. I'm afraid it may happen again. I could have been in a serious accident when pulling onto M36.
Do you think this would not have happened if the Traction Control was turned off?

Hmmmm, Maybe the car just thought it was out of control on that road. Maybe one of the GM techs here can share thier 2 cents. What was the code #?

I will let you know when they tell me what they find out.
No matter what they find out, no one would know this could happen until it happens. Had a car or truck been coming I might not have been able to write about this. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL
This is what someone else wrote in another forum----------
Had the Right front wheel speed sensor replaced AGAIN. 2 weeks later ABS activating again. This time I can hear it activating while cruising at 40mph, 55 mph. And it activates multiple times in a row at 15mph-turning, slowing, pulling out. Tried pulling out onto a major highway the Traction Control activated wouldn't shut off! Thought I was going to have an accident. I've had enough!!!! Had the ABS Module disconnected. I'll put up with the lights on. Maybe someday they'll find a real solution...or there will be a recall (I crack myself up w/that one!!) Then I'll have it fixed. Until then...ABS free!!

Not surprised the dealer found nothing wrong. Would not give me a print out of computer analyzer, no way to do that he said, but did say the codes were e-3000 and p-0300 misfire. As of now everything is working just fine.
They filled the gas tank, washed the car and said "If it happens again be sure to take to a dealer right away". Of course I will if I'm still alive.
Thanks for listening. wjdcad
