Default Weather Alerts

When we got our 2014 2LTZ at the end of Feb, we were going through the menu items to familiarize ourselves with the features and options in the car. At first we thought it would be good to see what the weather alerts had to offer, but then when we got bad weather, the alerts tended to be a distraction while driving. Well we turned off the weather alerts at least according to the menu item on the config screen, but they are still chiming and causing a display on the info center. Yesterday my wife told be she was alerted about a "Frost Warning". Is there some other way to turn it off in addition to the item on the configuration screen?

Hello Frank,

Congratulations on your new purchase. Just to clarify, do you have the XM trail and travel link option? If so, you are unable to turn this feature off. If you purchased the travel link you can reach out to XM and have them turn this off for you. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out via private message.

Yes Erica, we have the XM and Travel Trial. I'll get in touch with the XM Radio Folks to have them help me out.
