Default Traffic Alerts

I have an 09, but I think the 12 system is similar.

the GM headunit traffic alerts isn't near what my 2012 Jeep's head-unit can do for traffic & weather alerts. the Jeep one is very slick and says 'WEATHER ALERT' and you can tap it and see radar and such. (very cool for those of us without roofs or doors)!

the GM one is harder to use, but did display a list of accidents / road alerts etc.

Not all XM subscriptions have traffic/weather, so I'd check w/them first.

Also, the iPhone app WAZE is awesome... even tells you where the 5 0 is hiding.

Waze is a very good traffic app, however the last time I checked you still could not opt out of using toll roads in its navigation... also I thought Google bought them?

Default dunno

I sport the EZ-Pass, so tolls aren't too bad.

But the option to avoid them should be standard in any GPS app.

Are you still subscribing to xm? I think that's where the traffic alerts come from..?

yep. I always thought that was lame.

and it was never up to date enough to be useful. WAZE is much better and FREE.
